Inácio Luz hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mariano Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Aguiar in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Pinheiro saved Felgaria from getting behind. Cristiano Setúbal scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Martins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miguel Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Miguel Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Pinheiro having to interfere. António Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Carvalho in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes Zibreira got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Abreu. Zibreira's Nuno Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Zibreira from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. António Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Miguel Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute, Miguel Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zibreira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Filipe Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Felgaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Vieira couldn't finish the play. Nuno Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Setúbal's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. António Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but António Pinheiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Carvalho in the 71st minute of play forced Felgaria's goalkeeper António Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Eduardo Viegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
