Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gil Morais started the match with the kick off. Jorge Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 5 minutes into the match, Catefica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Campos came free, but Luís Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Catefica FC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Catefica FC's Jaime Antunes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. António Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Almeida in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Catefica FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miranda. In the 14th minute Gil Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Catefica FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Reis. If Gil Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Catefica FC's Armando Azevedo got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 23 minutes of play, SC Casfreiras's Jorge Campos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Delgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miguel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Nuno Moniz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Catefica FC's Luís Delgado didn't even have to move. Gil Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luís Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Casfreiras's António Costa got control of the ball when Jaime Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Casfreiras's Fernando Araújo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Jaime Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but António Costa made a huge save. If Gil Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, Catefica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Gil Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Delgado having to interfere. Jorge Campos took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Delgado. Luís Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Almeida to make the kick off. Catefica FC's Luís Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Morais in the 56th minute of play. Catefica FC's Eduardo Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Antunes in the 65th minute of the match. Jorge Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Casfreiras's zone, Jaime Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Costa came out of the goal and Jaime Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that António Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Costa was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Gil Morais's late challenge caught a Catefica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gil Morais helped the player get up and apologised.
