Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Queirós started the match with the kick off. Carlos Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rui Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eusébio Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Maia came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Mesquinhata's Afonso Guerreiro. But to his dismay, Afonso Guerreiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Queirós in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Lisboa saved SC Mesquinhata from getting behind. If Basílio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Basílio Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Caeiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Carlos Tavares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, SC Mesquinhata's Adolfo Garcia got a free kick in the 35th minute. Caeiros FC's Carlos Tavares came free and shot a quick shot against goal 37 minutes in the game, fortunately Rui Lisboa had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Carlos Tavares struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Rui Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caeiros FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Queirós in the 40th minute of play forced SC Mesquinhata's goalkeeper Rui Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Basílio Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Caeiros FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Mesquinhata were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Garcia was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Basílio Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caeiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Caeiros FC were awarded a corner. Vasco Matos went to the cornerflag to take it. Basílio Queirós took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Lisboa. Rui Lisboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Basílio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, SC Mesquinhata's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Queirós came free, but Rui Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Rui Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Queirós in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Lisboa saved SC Mesquinhata from getting behind. Rui Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When Caeiros FC's Basílio Queirós in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Mesquinhata's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Lisboa having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Carlos Tavares notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of SC Mesquinhata's Rui Lisboa. Rui Lisboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristiano Tavares's late challenge caught a SC Mesquinhata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee ended the match the Caeiros FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
