Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Barrega's Vicente Vale started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonso Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Oliveira Branco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Teixeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 5 played minutes SC Barrega got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Castro. SC Barrega's Rodrigo Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Garcia in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Vicente Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Miguel Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gil Rocha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Fernandes in the 28th minute of play forced SC Barrega's goalkeeper Rodrigo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rodrigo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes SC Barrega got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Gueifão. Miguel Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Garcia in the 40th minute of play forced SC Barrega's goalkeeper Rodrigo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Garcia struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rodrigo Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorgoco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Viegas got free with Gil Rocha in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Oliveira Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorgoco and the SC Barrega players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Gorgoco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Barrega:s goal. Miguel Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Rocha having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Vicente Vale made a precise shot to the right of Gil Rocha. Gorgoco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Vicente Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Rocha having to interfere. Basílio Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basílio Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Gorgoco's Basílio Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basílio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rodrigo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Afonso Gueifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Teixeira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gorgoco's zone, Vicente Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Rocha came out of the goal and Vicente Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gorgoco's goalkeeper Gil Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emílio Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rodrigo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Basílio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, SC Barrega's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basílio Fernandes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Barrega fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gorgoco had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
