With a little luck, SC Viegas's Oliveira Nogueira got control of the ball when Lúcio Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If António Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Viegas in the 15th minute of play forced Andraes FC's goalkeeper Armindo Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes of play, SC Viegas's António Viegas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Guarda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. António Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastião Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Guarda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Andraes FC's zone, Tomás Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Guarda came out of the goal and Tomás Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delfim Gueifão's late challenge caught a SC Viegas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Gueifão helped the player get up and apologised. Delfim Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Raul Resende hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Carneiro made a kick off. Sebastião Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Armindo Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. In the 68th minute, Eusébio Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, António Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Viegas's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eusébio Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andraes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Carneiro in the 87th minute of play forced SC Viegas's goalkeeper Oliveira Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Neto struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Armindo Guarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Viegas. After 90 played minutes Andraes FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Resende. After 91 played minutes, SC Viegas's Alexandre Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armindo Guarda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Viegas reached it. Eusébio Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Nogueira having to interfere. Eusébio Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Oliveira Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Viegas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
