Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sebastião Neto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Domingos Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Alfredo Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Telheira's Domingos Sousa got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Sebastião Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Alfredo Luz made a huge save. SC Telheira's Alfredo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Neto in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Alexandre Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliveira Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Viegas's Manuel Moniz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sérgio Matias struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Oliveira Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Telheira. Sebastião Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Luz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Viegas's Diogo Moura got a free kick in the 39th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Pedro Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Telheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sérgio Matias was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Jorge Pinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Viegas and the SC Telheira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes SC Viegas got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Pinto. 53 minutes in the game, Sérgio Matias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oliveira Nogueira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Viegas in the 56th minute of play forced SC Telheira's goalkeeper Alfredo Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, SC Telheira's Sérgio Matias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Matias in the 65th minute of play forced SC Viegas's goalkeeper Oliveira Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, SC Viegas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Moniz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Neto in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Luz saved SC Telheira from getting behind. In the 75th minute Sebastião Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Matias took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliveira Nogueira. Oliveira Nogueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, SC Telheira's Domingos Sousa got a free kick in the 85th minute. Sérgio Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Oliveira Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Pedro Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
