Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Aleixo kicked off to start the match. When Mirandela's Carlos Paredes in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Regatos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Mirandela's Carlos Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Paredes in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Mirandela's Carlos Paredes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Vale. Fernando Vale yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Mendes got free with Fernando Vale in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rui Aleixo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Fernandes having to make a save. Diamantino Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Marco Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Diamantino Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Regatos FC's Jorge Faria got a free kick in the 30th minute. Through a series of nice moves, Mirandela's José Viana on his own came free in the 32nd minute of the match and shot 2-0 behind a disappointed Fernando Vale. Diamantino Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Carlos Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamantino Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Carlos Paredes made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Mirandela's goalkeeper Diamantino Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Ribeiro. 63 minutes into the game, Carlos Paredes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fernando Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diamantino Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Mirandela's goalkeeper Diamantino Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Paiva. The supporters of Regatos FC booed when Mirandela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Regatos FC's Xavier Cunha got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Mirandela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Regatos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Mendes in the 86th minute of play forced Regatos FC's goalkeeper Fernando Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Regatos FC's Fernando Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Mendes in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Marco Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Mirandela's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Aleixo came free, but Diamantino Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mirandela fans cheered their team off the field, for while Regatos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
