If Alexandre Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Temadias got a freekick which was hit by Joel Antunes. After a rather tough play, Temadias's Armando Pires got a free kick in the 8th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Cernadela FC's Henrique Lima broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gustavo Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Azevedo having to interfere. If Gustavo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cernadela FC's zone, Alexandre Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Azevedo came out of the goal and Alexandre Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cernadela FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joaquim Mota hit a great ball. Delfim Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Cernadela FC's Sebastião Reis threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandre Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sebastião Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Brito went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Temadias's Gustavo Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Sebastião Reis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Miguel Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jorge Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Mota hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Alexandre Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Pereira to make the kick off. The supporters of Cernadela FC booed when Temadias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sebastião Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Temadias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Pires to maneuver through the defense. In the 62ndth minute of the game Delfim Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Temadias's Sebastião Reis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Gustavo Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Azevedo having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Alexandre Brito made a precise shot to the right of Sebastião Reis. Temadias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Sebastião Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Joel Antunes from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Jorge Azevedo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jorge Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Pereira's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Gustavo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jorge Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Cernadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Araújo. Jorge Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Brito in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cernadela FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Temadias had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
