The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Almeida during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, SC Gilbarbedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, one of SC Gilbarbedo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 30 minutes into the match, Mancelavisa's Cândido Neto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Pedroso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, SC Gilbarbedo's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Carvalho came free, but Afonso Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Lima took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Coimbra. Jorge Coimbra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ricardo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Coimbra having to interfere. When Joel Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mancelavisa's protests and gave Joel Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Gilbarbedo booed when Mancelavisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Mancelavisa got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Ferro. Afonso Pedroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Carvalho in the 46th minute of play. Catarino Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Mancelavisa's Cândido Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cândido Neto in the 60th minute. Nuno Figueiredo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Carvalho in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Pedroso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Gilbarbedo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nuno Figueiredo hit a great ball. After 71 minutes of play, Mancelavisa's Cândido Neto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Carvalho in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Pedroso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Carvalho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Mancelavisa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Carvalho in the 84th minute of play forced SC Gilbarbedo's goalkeeper Afonso Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Coimbra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Lima went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Jorge Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Figueiredo in the 93rd minute of play.
