Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Leca FC's Lúcio Resende started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eusébio Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Simão Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Faro having to interfere. Tiago Anjos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Faro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, Leca FC's Lúcio Resende made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th match minute, Leca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Brito to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hugo Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Anjos might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Anjos ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Simão Macedo made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Resende in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Pereira saved Praya from getting behind. Paulo Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Resende in the 56th minute of the match. Leca FC's António Brás shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Paulo Pereira but with some difficulty. If Tiago Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Lúcio Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Paulo Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lúcio Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Paulo Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Praya's Tiago Anjos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Faro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 77 played minutes Leca FC got a freekick which was hit by António Brás. In the 78th minute of the match Alexandre Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Faro skillfully saved the ball. Paulo Pereira was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Lúcio Resende capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lúcio Resende really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Paulo Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Adelino Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Praya's protests and gave Adelino Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Tiago Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Leca FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
