Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tomás Cruz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lucas Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Júlio Fernandes made a huge save. Tomás Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Júlio Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomás Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Mota hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Carlos Barros, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. SC Pegarinhos's Heitor Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Lisboa in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Mariano Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pegarinhos the free kick. Mariano Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Lisboa in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heitor Carvalho saved SC Pegarinhos from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Varela FC's zone, Tomás Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Fernandes came out of the goal and Tomás Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Varela FC's goalkeeper Júlio Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Rocha. Heitor Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Moutinho in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Henrique Lisboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Carvalho having to interfere. Júlio Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Lucas Rocha sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Moutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Lucas Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Varela FC's Jorge Cabral got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Varela FC's Mariano Fontes got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Mariano Fontes off the ground. A collision led to Varela FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mariano Fontes hit a great ball. Júlio Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Cruz's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 61 played minutes Varela FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Cabral. António Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Henrique Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute, Lucas Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Varela FC's Júlio Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cruz in the 83rd minute of play. Tomás Cruz took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Fernandes. Júlio Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tomás Cruz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Júlio Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pegarinhos. Heitor Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Lisboa in the 92nd minute. Henrique Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pegarinhos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
