That was the end of his participation in the match. Filipe Vale hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. António Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pinto having to interfere. Batanada's André Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Pinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Henriques's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sanceriz FC's Eusébio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sanceriz FC's Vítor Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Oliveira in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Sanceriz FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Miguel Setúbal hit a great ball. The supporters of Sanceriz FC booed when Batanada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batanada's goalkeeper Pedro Pinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. António Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Abreu in the 93rd minute. The supporters of Sanceriz FC booed when Batanada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Henriques in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Pinto saved Batanada from getting behind. Sanceriz FC were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Batanada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Maia took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Batanada's goalie and right to Joaquim Pinto. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Batanada's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sanceriz FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
