Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Adolfo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santorum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Assunção could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Alberto Oliveira made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Albertino Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Oliveira was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Alberto Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Dias's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. João Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Fonseca in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Vítor Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santorum FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alberto Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Paulo Assunção sent off a good shot on target. If Vítor Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Guerreiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Adolfo Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Santorum FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Silva. In the 55thth minute of the game André Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santorum FC's Alberto Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Paulo Assunção recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Sérgio Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santorum FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bezelga the free kick. Sérgio Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Alberto Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adolfo Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes of play, Bezelga's Paulo Assunção made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rui Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Paulo Assunção had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Oliveira. Santorum FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Assunção was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Santorum FC's Diamantino Cunha got a free kick in the 88th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Adolfo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santorum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Guerreiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bezelga's João Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Bezelga from getting a goal against them. Rui Neto got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 93 played minutes Bezelga got a freekick which was hit by Rui Neto. A hard shot 97 in the game by Vítor Fonseca from a close distance when the talented João Porto managed to make a qualified save. Bezelga's players were relieved.
