André Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Fontes having to interfere. Daniel Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When SC Farroeira's José Araújo in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Adolfo Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Farroeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute André Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes SC Farroeira got a freekick which was hit by Rui Borba. In the 40th minute of the match Abel Macedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fábio Fontes skillfully saved the ball. After 42 minutes, José Vieira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Farroeira's Fábio Fontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 played minutes Formariz FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Cruz. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Araújo was the one to do the kick off. Fábio Fontes made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when André Guerreiro sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes André Guerreiro rounded SC Farroeira's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Formariz FC's André Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, José Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formariz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Formariz FC booed when SC Farroeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Alfredo Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formariz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Farroeira the free kick. Lourenço Dias, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Formariz FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Farroeira from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
