Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Artur Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Henriques having to interfere. Basílio Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. António Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Miranda in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Nogueira got free with Augusto Henriques in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in SC Besteiro's zone, Jaime Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Maia came out of the goal and Jaime Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, SC Besteiro's Basílio Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Henriques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 18 played minutes SC Besteiro got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Pereira. After 20th play minutes Jaime Machado shot 0-1, a short shot which went by António Maia and just under the crossbar into goal. If Artur Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Machado in the 29th minute of the match. António Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Besteiro's zone, Jaime Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Maia came out of the goal and Jaime Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Miranda in the 36th minute of play forced SC Besteiro's goalkeeper António Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, SC Besteiro's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Miranda came free, but António Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Miranda in the 42nd minute of play. Basílio Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Henriques having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Basílio Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Besteiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When SC Besteiro's Artur Esteves in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Areao FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Vítor Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vítor Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Maia came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Areao FC's Jaime Machado. But to his dismay, Jaime Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Augusto Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Artur Esteves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Henriques. Areao FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Esteves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Areao FC's Jaime Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jaime Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Besteiro getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cristóvão Faria hit a great ball. Jaime Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but António Maia made a huge save. Afonso Aleixo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The SC Besteiro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Areao FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Areao FC.
