Rafael Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Carrascos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Heitor Araújo scored to the left of an out of position Rafael Araújo, making the score, 1-0. Rafael Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Tavares's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Vasco Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasco Pedroso made a kick off. Gonçalo Pereira in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nuno Gomes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vasco Pedroso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Gomes having to make a save. Rafael Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Araújo in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Heitor Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Salselas's supporters rose to their feet, but Heitor Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Carrascos's Manuel Leão got a free kick in the 65th minute. Heitor Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Araújo having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, SC Salselas's goalkeeper Nuno Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Pereira. Gonçalo Pereira struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nuno Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carrascos. After having played for 76 minutes, Heitor Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Salselas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heitor Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Vasco Pedroso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mariano Alves's late challenge caught a Carrascos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Alves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Mariano Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Araújo having to interfere. Gonçalo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nuno Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Salselas had won after a very even match.
