After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Adelino Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. André Marques came out of the goal and Rafael Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jorge Leiria hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. André Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Atalho FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Campos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inácio Pedroso during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Inácio Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rafael Campos fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atalho FC's protests and gave Rafael Campos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atalho FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rafael Campos hit a great ball. Inácio Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Óscar Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Luís Abreu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Assunção. Luís Abreu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Luís Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Francisco Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casteloes FC's André Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Pedroso in the 42nd minute of play. Alexandre Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Francisco Assunção acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Miguel Cunha. If Luís Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Pedroso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adelino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Assunção having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Luís Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Assunção. Atalho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Adelino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Assunção having to interfere. Casteloes FC's Jorge Leiria got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Jorge Leiria off the ground. Nuno Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Assunção having to interfere.
