A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, SC Ester's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Coimbra came free, but Sandro Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Coimbra made a kick off. Aranhas's Gaspar Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Coimbra in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Coimbra in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Valente saved Aranhas from getting behind. Jorge Paiva hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Gustavo Coimbra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gaspar Valente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gonçalo Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Valente having to interfere. Gaspar Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Setúbal in the 71st minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, SC Ester's Américo Setúbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonçalo Coimbra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Luís Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Aranhas fans jumped to their feet.
