Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Monteiro started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Nuno Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Borba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11th minute, Eduardo Monteiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jorge Faria, passed just outside the right post. Orbida FC's Jorge Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Monteiro in the 13th minute of play. Curros's Marco Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Correia in the 16th minute of play. Eduardo Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Marco Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orbida FC. 22 minutes into the game, Nuno Correia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marco Borba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Inácio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inácio Veiga struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Inácio Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curros's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eduardo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orbida FC were furious when Catarino Anjos was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Orbida FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Curros:s goal. The goalkeeper, Jorge Faria, was totally fooled by Curros's Alberto Jesus, who 50 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Curros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Orbida FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Álvaro Magalhães made a kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Eduardo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Álvaro Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Orbida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Faria should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Dias during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Orbida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Dias to maneuver through the defense. After 99 minutes of play, Curros's Eduardo Monteiro made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orbida FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
