Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bento Melo took the kick off in the first half of the match. A hard shot 4 in the game by Alexandre Tavares from a close distance when the talented Jorge Amorim managed to make a qualified save. SC Giesteira's players were relieved. In the 5th minute David Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Azevedo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Paulo Cabral's late challenge caught a SC Giesteira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Milheiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Cabral. If António Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 14 minutes, David Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Giesteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milheiros FC's David Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Sá in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Milheiros FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Paulo Cabral hit a great ball. David Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. David Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Lúcio Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Milheiros FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bento Melo hit a great ball. When António Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Giesteira's protests and gave António Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Milheiros FC booed when SC Giesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Giesteira's Jorge Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Giesteira from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jorge Amorim made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in SC Giesteira's zone, Alexandre Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Amorim came out of the goal and Alexandre Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Tavares in the 52nd minute of play. Cristiano Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Amorim having to make a save. Alexandre Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Amorim having to interfere. Júlio Fontes was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Giesteira's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SC Giesteira's corner Júlio Fontes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Faria quite easily take care of the ball. David Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Faria having to interfere. The supporters of Milheiros FC booed when SC Giesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Milheiros FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Giesteira's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Giesteira.
