Júlio Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Brito in the 69th minute. Carlos Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Leão having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Rogério Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mortena and the SC Giesteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes, SC Giesteira's Júlio Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Giesteira's zone, Pedro Borba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Amorim came out of the goal and Pedro Borba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th match minute, SC Giesteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Coelho to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, David Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Giesteira's supporters rose to their feet, but David Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes SC Giesteira got a freekick which was hit by José Leite. If David Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rogério Cunha hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match SC Giesteira got a corner. SC Mortena's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Júlio Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SC Giesteira's corner Júlio Fontes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Júlio Leão quite easily take care of the ball. In the 99th minute, Pedro Borba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
