The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Cerdal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Marques came free, but Eusébio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Manuel Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Vítor Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Joaquim Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerdal FC's protests and gave Joaquim Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Moutinho hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Nuno Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Dias in the 16th minute of the match. Diamantino Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Manuel Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Cerdal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Marques came free, but Eusébio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cume booed when Cerdal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes, Cume's Miguel Veiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusébio Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cume reached it. After 25 minutes of play, Cume's Nuno Dias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusébio Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 29 minutes, Manuel Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cume's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Cume's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Guarda during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cume getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Amadeu Guarda hit a great ball. Fernando Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Sousa having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, Cume's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Moutinho came free, but Jorge Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Cerdal FC's Fernando Moutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cume's zone, Fernando Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Sousa came out of the goal and Fernando Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cerdal FC booed when Cume was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Cume were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fernando Moutinho made the kick off in the second half. If Diamantino Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cume's Jorge Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Moutinho in the 59th minute of play. Fernando Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Sousa having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Cume was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Ferro to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jorge Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Diamantino Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cume's Jorge Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cerdal FC booed when Cume was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Fernando Moutinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Sousa was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Moutinho in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Sousa having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Fernando Moutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Cerdal FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Joaquim Moutinho hit a great ball. Nuno Sousa hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Cerdal FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cume for a fine match.
