An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Cruz in the 3rd minute of play forced Facha's goalkeeper Inácio Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Amílcar Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Facha's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Valente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Facha getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cláudio Valente hit a great ball. Américo Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Pedro Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Amílcar Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Facha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amílcar Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that António Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Cabral was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Pedro Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Inácio Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Cruz in the 27th minute of the match. Pedro Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Brás in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

António Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílcar Valente struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Pedro Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Facha. Amílcar Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Pedro Cabral made a huge save. David Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Inácio Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Américo Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Facha and the Lagoaca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inácio Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Pedro Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Amílcar Valente notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lagoaca FC's Pedro Cabral. Pedro Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Amílcar Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lagoaca FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
