Pedro Cabral made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Jorge Barros sent off a good shot on target. David Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carneiro's late challenge caught a Lagoaca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Seixeira getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. José Carneiro hit a great ball. Miguel Soares's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Fábio Macedo - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 20th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Pedro Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fábio Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Lagoaca FC booed when SC Seixeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lourenço Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Miguel Soares sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Seixeira's Fábio Macedo didn't even have to move. 34 minutes into the match, SC Seixeira's goal looked a bit too open when David Machado came free, but Fábio Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes, António Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Seixeira and the Lagoaca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fábio Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Cruz in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute David Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, David Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fábio Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lourenço Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cabral having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Cruz was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Jorge Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Seixeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Seixeira's Cândido Nunes got a free kick in the 61st minute. Pedro Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Gonçalves took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Cabral. Pedro Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Pedro Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Barros in the 82nd minute of play. After 89 played minutes Lagoaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Amaro. Pedro Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Barros in the 95th minute of the match. The SC Seixeira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lagoaca FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lagoaca FC.
