When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joaquim Henriques sped through Queixoperra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaime Fonseca. Pedro Nogueira hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Joaquim Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Fonseca having to interfere. Hugo Gueifão was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Queixoperra's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jaime Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Henriques in the 28th minute of the match. Duarte Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Argova's Ricardo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Vale in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Queixoperra's goalkeeper Jaime Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Duarte Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Queixoperra's Hugo Gueifão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Alves. Ricardo Alves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ricardo Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Joaquim Henriquess short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Jaime Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Queixoperra's zone, José Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Fonseca came out of the goal and José Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Joaquim Henriques sent off a good shot on target. Vicente Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Argova booed when Queixoperra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Duarte Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queixoperra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Argova getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Eduardo Lima hit a great ball. Rogério Vieira hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Paulo Vaz hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. José Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Fonseca having to interfere. Ricardo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Vale in the 84th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Duarte Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 98 minutes of play, SC Argova's Armando Castro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Queixoperra supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Argova's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Argova.
