Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Figueiredo kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, SC Argova's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Paredes came free, but Ricardo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Alves having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Covilha's goalkeeper Vicente Borba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Henriques. Vicente Paredes scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eduardo Lima's late challenge caught a Covilha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Eduardo Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ricardo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Paredes in the 25th minute of the match. Júlio Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Argova's Júlio Santos got a free kick in the 29th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Eduardo Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covilha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joaquim Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Vicente Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Paredes to make the kick off. Ricardo Alves made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Vicente Paredes sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the game, one of Covilha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SC Argova a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Inácio Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Covilha's Vicente Borba. 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Vicente Paredes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Vasco Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Covilha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasco Guarda couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Argova's zone, Vicente Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Alves came out of the goal and Vicente Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SC Argova's Ricardo Alves got control of the ball when Fernando Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Lopes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Argova's Inácio Neves tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Joaquim Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Castro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes Covilha's Vicente Paredes stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Ricardo Alves stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing SC Argova of the goal. Vicente Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Ricardo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Paredes in the 98th minute of play.
