But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. SC Casaldeite's Miguel Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Cruz in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Casaldeite's Álvaro Henriques got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cristiano Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cando's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, SC Casaldeite's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cruz came free, but Miguel Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
