Viriato Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Morais in the 18th minute of the match. Francisco Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Guardas FC's Júlio Teixeira got a free kick in the 25th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Telheira FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Leiria came free, but António Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Baptista took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Pedroso. Viriato Pedroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 46thth minute of the game Francisco Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telheira FC's António Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Rocha having to interfere.

Lúcio Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Pedroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If David Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Guardas FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Teixeira. António Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Leiria in the 70th minute. Cristiano Abreu's late challenge caught a Guardas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Nascimento in the 73rd minute of play forced Telheira FC's goalkeeper António Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Telheira FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Bento Antunes hit a great ball. In the 76th minute of the match Guardas FC got a corner. Telheira FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Andrade ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mariano Andrade made a great header on Guardas FC's corner, it was just that Telheira FC's António Rocha managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Guardas FC's Júlio Teixeira got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Viriato Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Mário Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Telheira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Pedroso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Lúcio Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
