The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Leão in the 3rd minute of play forced Riscada's goalkeeper Artur Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, SC Telhado's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Guarda came free, but Ricardo Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If António Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Guarda made a kick off. After 55 minutes of play SC Telhado's Hugo Andrade was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to SC Telhado getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Hugo Andrade hit a great ball. Riscada's António Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Riscada booed when SC Telhado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Armindo Borba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Pacheco skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Telhado's Lucas Assis got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, António Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riscada's supporters rose to their feet, but António Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
