With a little luck, Gabrielos's Cristóvão Ribeiro got control of the ball when David Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristóvão Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Almeida in the 4th minute of the match. When David Castro came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Carapetos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Castro couldn't finish the play. David Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Ribeiro made a huge save. If David Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Jacinto Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabrielos's Cristóvão Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Almeida in the 18th minute of play. Bernardo Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Faro's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Carapetos FC's Carlos Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Leão in the 41st minute of play. Carlos Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Leão in the 46th minute of play. Cristóvão Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Almeida in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Leão to make the kick off. A collision led to Gabrielos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. João Azevedo hit a great ball. When Raul Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gabrielos's protests and gave Raul Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Raul Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If António Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gabrielos's Jorge Luz got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Henrique Henriques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristóvão Ribeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When David Castro fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carapetos FC's protests and gave David Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Faros short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Carlos Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alberto Faro struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Carlos Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gabrielos. Amílcar Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílcar Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristóvão Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. David Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amílcar Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Carapetos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Almeida couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, David Castro made a precise shot to the right of Cristóvão Ribeiro. Gabrielos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
