Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Filipe Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the SC Cotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Guarda couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, SC Cotas's Paulo Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Teixeira. Nuno Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, SC Cotas's Paulo Teixeira threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 26th minute, Amadeu Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Faro having to interfere. Paulo Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Paulo Teixeira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gil Maia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. If Nuno Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
