Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paulo Fonseca kicked off to start the match. Nuno Faro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the match, Diamantino Aleixo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Faro. SC Cotas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diamantino Aleixo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Amílcar Aleixo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botelhas FC's protests and gave Amílcar Aleixo a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Botelhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Aleixo. Pedro Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pedro Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílcar Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Cristiano Rocha, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pedro Guerreiro came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cotas's Paulo Fonseca. But to his dismay, Paulo Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 37th minute, Mário Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Faro. SC Cotas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mário Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mário Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Diamantino Aleixo made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Faro. SC Cotas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Filipe Guarda notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Botelhas FC's Pedro Guerreiro. Pedro Guerreiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Magalhães got free with Nuno Faro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 played minutes SC Cotas got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Maia. Despite being the better team, SC Cotas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
