Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogério Alves took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of SC Ester booed when Abambres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abambres's goalkeeper Tomás Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Lourenço Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rogério Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Artur Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 19 played minutes SC Ester got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Guerreiro. When Marco Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the SC Ester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Paredes couldn't finish the play. Emílio Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Gomes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Ramos during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cláudio Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Abambres's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Soares came free, but Tomás Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, André Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Abreu missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 33 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the José Moreira right hand side. Artur Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but José Moreira made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Aguiar in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogério Abreu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Gomes made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Emílio Soares sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute, Marco Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomás Gomes. The goal made the score 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rogério Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abambres's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artur Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. José Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Gomes having to interfere. Tomás Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abambres's Tomás Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Abambres from getting a goal against them. Marco Lima hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Rogério Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Artur Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Abambres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Aguiar couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Marco Paredes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Marco Lima fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ester's protests and gave Marco Lima a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Marco Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Abambres fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Abambres's Artur Aguiar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Marco Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Tomás Gomes made a huge save. Emílio Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Paredes in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Ester eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
