In the 3rd minute, Emílio Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Emílio Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Alexandre Pinho made a huge save. Cristiano Monteiro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Marco Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alexandre Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15thth minute of the game Jacinto Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ester's José Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adelino Assis hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Soares got free with Alexandre Pinho in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Marco Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the SC Ester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Paredes couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Paredes in the 21st minute of play. José Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Marco Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexandre Pinho. The goal made the score 2-0. Amadeu Assis's late challenge caught a Paranhas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Assis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, one of SC Ester:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Ester. SC Ester's José Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Marques in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ester's zone, Xavier Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Moreira came out of the goal and Xavier Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

In the 52nd minute, Xavier Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 52 minutes into the match, SC Ester's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Paiva came free, but José Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alexandre Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Paredes struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Alexandre Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ester. Emílio Soares took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Pinho. Alexandre Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Paranhas FC's Jacinto Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Paredes succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. In the 85th minute Marco Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Paiva in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Paranhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Soares came free, but Alexandre Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
