Lemenhe FC's João Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Sarnadela FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Lopes. Miguel Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Ferro in the 16th minute of play. If André Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sarnadela FC's Diamantino Cruz got control of the ball when João Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Marques's late challenge caught a Lemenhe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Marques helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sarnadela FC's João Marques got a free kick in the 25th minute. André Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Ferro in the 39th minute of play forced Lemenhe FC's goalkeeper Miguel Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Lemenhe FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Macedo. Miguel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 43 played minutes Sarnadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Domingues. Lemenhe FC's Paulo Abreu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sarnadela FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Ferreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Lemenhe FC's André Ferreira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miguel Ramos made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Fernando Brás sent off a good shot on target. Viriato Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viriato Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. João Pires hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Manuel Domingues mouthed his way into the referee's book. João Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. João Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Cruz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, João Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lemenhe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Ferro in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
