Sandro Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Barbosa in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Júlio Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Vale struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Alexandre Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romao. Óscar Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romao's António Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Almagre FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Lisboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Óscar Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Lisboa having to interfere. Óscar Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28thth minute of the game António Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almagre FC's Alexandre Lisboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandre Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Viegas in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Lisboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Almagre FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Romao:s goal. Artur Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Neto having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Barbosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Aleixos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Sandro Neto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience held their breath when Gonçalo Vale in the 56th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Alexandre Lisboa's left hand side. When Óscar Moura came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Romao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Moura couldn't finish the play. Almagre FC's Alexandre Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Viegas in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Almagre FC's zone, Óscar Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Lisboa came out of the goal and Óscar Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, António Viegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Lisboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. António Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alexandre Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Óscar Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Romao booed when Almagre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romao's Sandro Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Romao from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Sebastião Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Lisboa. Almagre FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Romao had played much better football throughout.
