Xavier Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Vaz's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, António Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavier Brito. Mesas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that António Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Mesas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rapada were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Costa made a kick off. Heitor Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Mesas's goal looked a bit too open when António Andrade came free, but Xavier Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Rapada's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Sá came free, but Armindo Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Heitor Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armindo Anjos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Heitor Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Brito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute António Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th play minute Afonso Vaz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Xavier Brito. 1-3. Afonso Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Xavier Brito made a huge save. In the 97th minute, Heitor Sá ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Anjos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rapada had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
