Bruno Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rui Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingos Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Silves getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Domingos Moniz hit a great ball. Rui Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bruno Simões was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Romariz FC booed when Silves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Rui Vaz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Moniz in the 18th minute of the match. If José Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Mariano Barbosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Vaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Marco Silva rounded Silves's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Silva in the 28th minute of play forced Silves's goalkeeper Rui Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silves's José Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Marco Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílcar Barros during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Romariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Barros to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Marco Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romariz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Romariz FC booed when Silves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 49 minutes into the game, Bruno Simões recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rui Vaz. Bruno Simões showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Romariz FC's Carlos Borges got control of the ball when José Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Silva in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Vaz saved Silves from getting behind. Carlos Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Paiva in the 70th minute of play. Rui Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Simões in the 73rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Silves's Domingos Moniz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Borges. That made the score 2-1 after 80 minutes of play. When Albertino Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silves's protests and gave Albertino Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, one of Silves:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Silves. José Freitas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Carlos Borges made a huge save. In the 94th match minute, Romariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Barros to maneuver through the defense. Silves's Gaspar Guarda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Romariz FC. Romariz FC's Carlos Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Martins in the 97th minute of play. If José Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silves's Rui Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Silva in the 101st minute of play. Romariz FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
