Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jaime Porto kicked off to start the match. Joaquim Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alexandre Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Alem FC's Alexandre Moniz got control of the ball when Pedro Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. When SC Gaios's Joaquim Macedo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alem FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alem FC's zone, Joaquim Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Moniz came out of the goal and Joaquim Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, SC Gaios's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Porto came free, but Ricardo Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Fernando Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alem FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Viegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Moniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. When Alem FC's Fernando Viegas in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Gaios's goalie prevented a goal. SC Gaios's Joaquim Macedo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Macedo made a kick off. Alexandre Moniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alem FC's Alexandre Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Queirós in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Alem FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Macedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Lucas Nogueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Moniz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joaquim Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 72 in the game by Fernando Viegas from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Vieira managed to make a qualified save. SC Gaios's players were relieved. Jaime Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joaquim Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alem FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Moniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Viegas in the 85th minute. If Fernando Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Vieira made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Fernando Viegas sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alem FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Gaios.
