Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Parelhal's João Vaz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. António Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Moniz in the 2nd minute of the match. Paulo Melo struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. António Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Azurva. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for SC Azurva. Bruno Baptista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving António Dias. 0-1. Joel Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, SC Azurva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Alves to maneuver through the defense. António Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Moniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play SC Parelhal's Cristiano Dias was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Parelhal! In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for SC Azurva. Bruno Baptista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving António Dias. 0-2. After 27 minutes, Paulo Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Azurva and the SC Parelhal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Parelhal booed when SC Azurva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes SC Parelhal got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Resende. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Melo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half SC Azurva were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Moniz to make the kick off. A collision led to SC Parelhal getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. João Vaz hit a great ball. If Alexandre Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, SC Azurva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Marques to maneuver through the defense. When Afonso Viana came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the SC Parelhal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Viana couldn't finish the play. SC Parelhal's António Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Moniz in the 74th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Humberto Lisboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Parelhal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Azurva the free kick. After 79 played minutes SC Parelhal got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Lisboa. 82 minutes into the match, SC Parelhal's goalkeeper António Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Melo. In the 84th match minute, SC Parelhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. António Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Moniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Costa in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Azurva's goalkeeper Nuno Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Alexandre Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Humberto Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Azurva had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
