In the 22nd minute, Rodrigo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Leite in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Diogo Faria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 44th minute Júlio Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Borba made a kick off. Diogo Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Coelho in the 52nd minute of play. Portimao FC's Jaime Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Rodrigo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Borba might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Borba ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Coelho in the 75th minute of the match. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Anisso fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portimao FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
