After recieving a nice pass, SC Marteleira's Vasco Henriques tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Sousa couldn't finish the play. Artur Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Francisco Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Sousa was the one to do the kick off. If Hugo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Courelinhas's goalkeeper Francisco Bessa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emílio Borba struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. José Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Courelinhas. Nuno Pires hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, SC Courelinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Veiga came free, but Francisco Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Joaquim Oliveira took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for José Campos to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Sousa in the 81st minute of play forced SC Courelinhas's goalkeeper Francisco Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Marteleira's zone, Joaquim Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Campos came out of the goal and Joaquim Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Veiga in the 93rd minute of play forced SC Courelinhas's goalkeeper Francisco Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Courelinhas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
