Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Azia FC's Catarino Correia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernando Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Azia FC booed when SC Velosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Pedroso, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Manuel Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the game, Fernando Anjos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Velosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azia FC the free kick. A collision led to SC Velosa getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fernando Anjos hit a great ball. SC Velosa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Manuel Campos scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Pinho, making the score, 1-0. Afonso Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Magalhães in the 24th minute of play. When Duarte Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Velosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Afonso Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of SC Velosa booed when Azia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes of play, SC Velosa's Fernando Costa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Duarte Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Afonso Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Campos in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Pinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Fernando Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Magalhães was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Duarte Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Duarte Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Velosa's José Aleixo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Azia FC were furious when Eusébio Rocha was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azia FC! The referee gave SC Velosa a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Santarém, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Azia FC's Afonso Magalhães. 1-2. Manuel Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes SC Velosa got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Moreira. Pedro Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Rui Sousa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A hard shot 68 in the game by Fernando Costa from a close distance when the talented Afonso Magalhães managed to make a qualified save. Azia FC's players were relieved. After 69 played minutes Azia FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Sousa. After a defensive mix-up in SC Velosa's zone, Manuel Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Pinho came out of the goal and Manuel Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, José Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Azia FC's Afonso Magalhães got control of the ball when Fernando Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duarte Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Magalhães having to interfere. The SC Velosa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Velosa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
