The crowd rose to their feet as SC Supegal's Armando Miranda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afonso Magalhães. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Joaquim Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Correia in the 35th minute of the match. Pedro Reis struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Afonso Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Supegal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Miranda was the one to do the kick off. Catarino Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Fonseca having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, SC Supegal's goalkeeper Joaquim Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Campos. If Manuel Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. André Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Azia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Armando Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Afonso Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes in the game, Manuel Campos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joaquim Fonseca having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Azia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Miranda came free, but Afonso Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Armando Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedro Reis came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SC Supegal fans jumped to their feet. In the 87thth minute of the game Pedro Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azia FC's Afonso Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Rocha's late challenge caught a SC Supegal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
