Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Inácio Rodrigues took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Francisco Simões came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Azeitada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Simões couldn't finish the play. If Inácio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaime Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Júlio Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adelino Cardoso having to make a save. Azeitada FC's Jaime Baptista managed to work through Areias FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jaime Baptista dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 25th minute, Jaime Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Areias FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Neto. Adelino Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Rodrigues in the 31st minute of play. Adelino Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Cristóvão Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azeitada FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Azeitada FC's Cristóvão Coelho got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th match minute, Azeitada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Cardoso missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 38 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Adelino Cardoso right hand side. David Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. David Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Baptista made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Areias FC's Adelino Cardoso threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Inácio Rodrigues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Baptista in the 53rd minute of play forced Areias FC's goalkeeper Júlio Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Cardoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Inácio Rodrigues showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 61 minute of play. After 69 played minutes Areias FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Pinho. Júlio Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Baptista in the 75th minute of the match. David Neto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Adelino Cardoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Inácio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Azeitada FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Inácio Rodrigues scored to the left of an out of position Adelino Cardoso, making the score, 0-2. In the 88th minute, Jaime Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Brito. Areias FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Hélder Costa could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Adelino Cardoso however easily saved by the left post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
