Ovoa's Artur Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Ovoa from getting a goal against them. Vicente Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Valente in the 15th minute of play forced Confulcos FC's goalkeeper Carlos Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Emílio Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Luís Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Confulcos FC and the Ovoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Confulcos FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Luís Fontes hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Rui Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Confulcos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ovoa the free kick. 33 minutes into the game, one of Confulcos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ovoa a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Heitor Nascimento, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Confulcos FC's Carlos Gaspar. 0-2. Artur Freitas made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Hélder Moura sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Confulcos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Valente came free, but Carlos Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Vicente Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hélder Moura scored 1-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Freitas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Luís Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Confulcos FC booed when Ovoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hélder Moura came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Confulcos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Moura couldn't finish the play. Artur Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Martins's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ovoa! The referee gave Confulcos FC a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Afonso Aleixo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ovoa's Artur Freitas. 2-2. Rui Santos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Ovoa's Alberto Valente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Vicente Rocha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played.
