Mário Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Cristiano Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Trafaria FC booed when Morelinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Trafaria FC's Diamantino Garcia fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Diamantino Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Luís Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Morelinho FC fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Morelinho FC's Mário Domingues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 32 minutes, Sérgio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trafaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Morelinho FC's Luís Assunção got control of the ball when Sérgio Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Trafaria FC's Sérgio Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Assunção narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Cruz during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diamantino Garcia went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mário Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cristiano Veiga made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Morelinho FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
