After 2 played minutes Almacinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Leiria. After having played for 4 minutes, Américo Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vermelha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duarte Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8thth minute of the game Emanuel Jesus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vermelha's Cândido Assunção was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes, Américo Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vermelha and the Almacinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Américo Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almacinha FC's Rafael Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Teixeira in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Almacinha FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Basílio Garcia hit a great ball. Carlos Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rafael Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Torres in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Almacinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Teixeira came free, but Rafael Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Américo Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Torres in the 54th minute of play forced Almacinha FC's goalkeeper Rafael Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlos Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Américo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Torres in the 59th minute of play. Américo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Américo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Jesus in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cândido Assunção saved Vermelha from getting behind. Carlos Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Ferreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Teixeira in the 83rd minute of the match. Basílio Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Carlos Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vermelha's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Vermelha's Américo Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Garcia's late challenge caught a Vermelha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Basílio Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Américo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rafael Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Almacinha FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vermelha from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
