In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cancelas FC's goalkeeper Luís Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Lamegal's Eusébio Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eusébio Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Maia's late challenge caught a Lamegal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Maia helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cancelas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Lamegal. Jaime Rodrigues stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Correia. 1-0. After some careless play in the Lamegal defense, David Bessa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Abreu. The Lamegal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Abreu should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Abreu having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of Lamegal booed when Cancelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Lamegal. Jaime Rodrigues stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Correia. 2-1. Diogo Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Pinho in the 67th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Jesus during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Cancelas FC got a freekick which was hit by André Jesus. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Correia was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 80 minutes into the game, one of Lamegal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jaime Rodrigues hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Gaspar Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Cancelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Anjos came free, but Luís Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cancelas FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alfredo Pacheco hit a great ball.
