Sebal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Assumadas the free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cândido Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes, Vasco Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sebal and the SC Assumadas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vasco Nascimento hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. If Amadeu Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The wind increased when Amadeu Marques made the kick off in the second half. SC Assumadas's Amadeu Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Gustavo Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Ribeiro in the 59th minute of the match. Gustavo Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Ramos having to interfere. Jorge Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Jorge Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sebal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Trindade hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Melo in the 74th minute of play forced SC Assumadas's goalkeeper Inácio Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Amadeu Marques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur Cunha. The goal made the score 3-1. 82 minutes into the match, Sebal's Jorge Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inácio Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Assumadas's Cândido Leal got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gustavo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Melo in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inácio Ramos saved SC Assumadas from getting behind. If Gustavo Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
